I am obsessed with podcasts! In college, I actually took a podcasting class and I was so confused on what podcasting actually was, that my friend and I ended up making a youtube morning show instead when it came time for the class project…entirely not the same thing at all, LOL. Almost 10 years later and Podcasts are really starting to gain some popularity, and for good reason! You can listen to them anytime, anywhere, and most importantly, on the go.
If you aren’t already on the podcast bandwagon, you should be, especially if you have a commute. Podcasts have even become part of my morning routine, and they help me start out my day in the right mindset. Of course, I listen to some that are full on juicy Bravo related for housewives gossip, but this roundup is strictly business, personal growth and mindset podcasts. Each and every episode of these podcasts are full of tips for you as a growing entrepreneur, regardless of where you are in your journey. And if you’re not trying to learn more about business, but are focusing on personal development, keep reading!
If you are a podcast listener for business learning, then you know that themes of personal development keep showing up as obstacles to work through. Mindset is a massive part of owning your own business. If you’re brand new, just know that entrepreneurship is more of a mental game than anything else.
So without further adieu, here are my favorite podcasts for the Female Entrepreneur. They might not all be for you, but I encourage you to give these a listen to see what might be for you. I promise if you are a female entrepreneur, or interested in starting a side hustle, these podcasts will leave you with some serious motivation and confidence to just START.
The Goal Digger Podcast is one of my favorites. I have so much in common with Jenna Kutcher, the host of the podcast. We both are body positive babes, both have a gluten allergy and have both gone through pregnancy loss. Her podcast is not only about marketing tips, but it is also sprinkled in with real life, and I love that so much.
Manifestation Babe by Kathrin Zenkina is all about money, mindset and manifestation. I love her because she is really just matter of fact about money, and the stigma that is attached to wanting more money, especially as a woman. She’s really impressive, because she’s grown a million dollar business in just two years. I also really appreciate the focus on mindset. When it comes to entrepreneurship, mindset is gold. You have to have it, and it’s not something that comes naturally to most people, you have to work at it, and she shows you how. Her podcast has helped m shift mindsets that I’ve had for nearly my whole life. Powerful, good stuff! She is a beautiful soul.
Lori Harder is another beautiful soul. She seems like she would be an amazing sister or friend. Her podcast is about motivation, self-care, confidence and entrepreneurship. I love that she touches on all these subjects because the entrepreneurship journey really brings up all these different types of insecurities and beliefs about yourself. When you start a business, you end up facing your worst fears most of the time, unless you’re a special snowflake of course. I also love Lori’s unapologetic attitude towards being who she really is and sharing that part of her journey.
Another podcast about mindset and entrepreneurship. I love Style Your Mind, because the host, Cara Alwill Leyba generally does a solo podcast most episodes which I love. She gives very solid advice with a no BS attitude…no wonder why I like her podcast so much! But she really does break things down in a way that allows you to digest it easily and makes you feel like anything is possible. Maybe it’s her background as a life coach, but it just feels like she is really rooting you on personally, and I guess she is through her podcast. She also has a few books out as well as some workbooks to help with mindset.
It’s The Alison, The Alison, The Alisonnnn Show! This is the actual theme song and I love it so much! The Alison Show is cheerful. It’s hard to not have a constant smile on your face when you listen to this podcast. The host Alison ( With one L), and her husband Eric (too) are a great dynamic duo. The entire premise of the show is to “leave you feeling MORE awesome than you were before” tuning into the podcast. Overall this is more of a personal development podcast with talk about business tips, productivity, feeling great, being true to yourself and having real talks about hardship in life and more. I especially love her take on experiencing anxiety and how to pick yourself up and get on with your life, because you know what, life is AWESOME! You are sure to laugh, or at least smile the entire time, and that’s something!
#GirlBoss This is THE Girl Boss Radio by Sophia Amoruso. Sophia gets some heavy hitters to interview in this podcast. I love the variety of topics that are covered. I also especially love hearing from the female founders of big business that we all know and love. It’s not very often that you get to go behind the curtain with big companies, so I especially like that alot. And I also love just how real Sophia is in asking questions, and vulnerable. It’s also cool to hear and learn from Sophia herself and hear about her learning curves and failing forward.
Ok, so Rachel Hollis from the RISE podcast feels like she is my big sister. I’ve been following her for almost 6 years and I have loved watching her grow from an awesome lifestyle blogger cooking up tasty casseroles (girl after my own heart) and teaching me how to style a scarf, into a full blown powerhouse of a woman who continues to give me inspiration. Now with her podcast RISE, she teaches you how to get into the best mindset to take you the distance to get to what you want the most, not what you want now. I love her real talk attitude- probably one of the reasons I love her so much. She just a real person, no pretense, just 100% real talk.
P.S she also is a NYT Best Seller with the book, Girl, Wash Your Face.
Julie Solomon, feels like another refreshing breath of air. I love her podcast because she hits on the topic that a lot of people don’t necessarily hit in business podcasts, and that is public relations (PR). PR is my background so when I listen to her episodes, I’m constantly saying “YES” in agreement with what she teaches. She focuses a lot on topics that would be beneficial to bloggers and influencers, hence the name of her podcast! She talks about how to land brand deals, how to work with brands and pitch your brand or product. Plus she just has the cutest southern accent that is easy on the ears. Trust me and add her podcast to your library!
I sincerely hope that you can take these 8 podcast recommendations and give them a listen and whatever speaks to you, you continue to listen, I hope they help! Let me know in the comments which ones you liked or if you have recommendations yourself! I’m always looking for another podcast to listen too.
XOXO,
Cristin
