Ok, so last month’s beauty bag never came, but I promise to make this month’s is worth the wait! June’s beauty bag is full of skincare! Skin, Skin, Skin has been on my mind as I’ve been on a clear #skinjourney battling my hormonal acne. But don’t worry, I also have some makeup in this post, you can always count on that from me. I love a lipstick!
On a side note, how excited are you for summer? There is just something about summer that still excites me, even though I don’t get to have three months off from real life…not yet anyway, a girl can dream, it still feels really magical.
Back to the Beauty Bag…
I also included a new section called “Product Details” because it’s all in the details right?? I thought it was appropriate.I’m not always describing products based solely on the product details, so I wanted to make sure to include because sometimes that can make or break a decision to try them out for myself, and I want you to be able to make an informed decision as well.
So without further adieu, here is what’s in my beauty bag this June!
Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Foundation
What I like about it: Let me just start by saying that I am a harsh critic when it comes to foundation. Being a girl with oily skin and acne prone, foundation has to stay put, last throughout the day and NOT make me breakout..I don’t feel like that’s too much to ask really! I’ve used Urban Decay foundations in the past and was pretty happy with the wear, so I gave this one a try. It’s their newest foundation in their “All nighter” collection.
I like that it doesn’t break me out if I’m being 100% → insert laughing and crying emoji here.Ok, so I will get to it… I like the matte finish and the wear. I would say however, don’t get the claim of waterproof confused to mean that it won’t show your shine. It does however well really well when and if your face gets really oily. During the start of trying wearing this foundation I was testing out some new skincare routines and products and it left me, well, a little extra shiny and the All Nighter Foundation held up really well.
Price– $40
Who is it good for: Anyone looking for a full coverage, matte finish
Product Details: This foundation is 25% pigment, so that means full coverage. But that also means that you need to make sure that you get the right color. A little pro tip- apply and let it dry on your skin before you decide on a color. It’s also matte and oil free while also absorbing oil, making it great for everyday use.
Will I buy it again: I think so! I do like it, and I’ve always been a fan of Urban Decay products, especially their All Nighter line of products.
Where to buy: Sephora and Ulta
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
What I like about it: I LOVE the formula and delivery system for this moisturizer. I’ve never had a moisturizer that was so perfect for preventing bacteria from getting in to the jar. You literally push down on the top with your thumbs and the perfect amount of moisturizer is delivered to you! That’s another thing I love about it, it gives you the perfect amount of moisturizer so it takes the guesswork out of how much to apply. Also, this is a really clean moisturizer for any of you out there that take that into consideration when choosing beauty products.
Who is it good for: This moisturizer is perfect for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It works to help improve the skin’s texture, tone and elasticity, so basically a supercharged anti-aging moisturizer.
Price: $68
Product Details: It’s formulated with a concentration of signal peptides, growth factors, supportive amino acids, and pygmy water lily extract that provides visible and immediate results. So basically like a protein shake for your face.
Will I buy it again: A very enthusiastic YES!
Where to buy: Sephora
Skin Authority Glycolic Acid
What I like about it: It does the heavy lifting for all my skin issues. It helps with cell turnover which helps my skin get less breakouts or speeds up the breakout life cycle. Also, it came approved by my esthetician and I pretty much trust her with my life.
Who is it good for: Anyone who is looking to deal with acne, or general signs of aging and wants a more youthful skin texture. It also helps with radiance as well as reduces the appearance of oils.
Price: $50
Product Details: This product is ideal for most skin types. Because it’s an acid, I would do a little bit of research to see if it’s ok with your skin, or even ask your esthetician, but in general terms, this is an at home treatment, so it’s not going to be too harsh. It’s best to be used at night with your nightly routine. The AHA exfoliators are derived from sugar cane.
Will I buy It again: YES! At this point, I’m following the recommendations of my esthetician when it comes to all of my daily skincare routines and products, because #skincarejourney.

Pacifica Pineapple Face Wipes
What I like about it: They are super fast and efficient way to remove your makeup before. They also are a clean beauty product and smell like vacation. The packaging is also really fun and cute. They are also aluminum-free, dye-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, vegan, can it get any better than that?
Who is it good for: Anyone who wants a super efficient and fast way to clean their face while. There are different types for different skin types or concerns like hydrating, brightening etc the Pineapple face wipes are great for oily or combination skin.
Price: $5.99 to $6.99
Product Details: For starters, Pacifica beauty products are vegan and cruelty free and in general pretty clean beauty products. The Pineapple Face Wipes contain hyaluronic acid which make it great for wiping away oil, toxins, makeup and dirt and help clarify skin. YAY!
Will I buy again?: Yes! I love trying out all of the different scents and formulas for wipes and I love these wipes when I’m in a pinch and too tired to take off all of my eye makeup. Also, if you are a lash extension gal, these are the jam for removing eye makeup!
The Ordinary Lactic Acid
What I like about it: First and foremost, I have to say, I am semi obsessed with this product. I’m so intrigued by the entire The Ordinary skincare products as a whole because of their price points and cult following. When I was first looking into this product, I was using the Good Genes Lactic Acid treatment which I do love, however the price point of $150 was hard to swallow. I’m all about investing in skincare, but when something else is out there and the claims from actual gals who have used the product are swearing by it as a dupe from the Sunday Riley Good Genes treatment, you know I had to try it out. You can read more on my thoughts about Sunday Riley Skincare here.
Who is it good for: Most all skin types can use it as it’s considered a really gentle exfoliator for the skin. My esthetician, said this type of acid is great for teen girls because it’s so gentle, and it barely does anything as far as heavy lifting goes. all the reviews that were on sephora for the product were basically saying it was the cheapest dupe of all time to Sunday Riley’s Good Genes serum so I was game to try it…and AGAIN, BECAUSE IT’S LESS THAN 10 BUCKS and worth a shot. But, my fabulous esthetician ( Hi Kim!!) also said it was perfect for giving your skin a bit of a glow, so that’s how I have worked it into my routine. I use it in the morning and I do think that it gives my skin a bit of a glow!
Price: $7.00
Product Details: It’s 10% Lactic Acid which is a lactic acid. It also contains Tasmanian Pepperberry which helps to counteract any irritation that the product might cause, because hey, it’s an acid 🙂 Also, if you do use this product, USE SUNSCREEN, even if you have sunscreen in your foundation, tinted moisturizer etc. It’s not enough, trust me on that one. Lactic acid can make your skin more prone to a sunburn etc.
Will I Buy it again: Yes. However, I don’t know that I’m seeing the same or if better results from the product as the Good Genes serum from Sunday Riley in all fairness. But not all products are created equal.

What I like about it: First let me just say, I’ve ALWAYS had chronic chapped lips and I could never figure out why. I’ve used all different kinds of chapsticks, lip conditioners etc and they would sorta kinda work, then I’d put on a lipstick and regardless of the formula, my lips would be peeling and chapped hours later. That was until I found this product! I first found this product through my Instastories, which I can’t remember whose account it was, but it was some fabulous woman who was gorgeous,so I had too try it out. The hype was real y’all!
Who is it good for: Anyone who likes soft hydrated lips. Especially the girl or guy ( hey I put this on C) who has chapped lips all the time.
Price: $20
Product Details: This lip mask has a balmy texture that smells devine. It has a ton of antioxidant rich berries in the formula for a fun scent (Berry Mix Complex™). The texture is what makes this work so well. It adheres to the lips for optimal absorption with a Moisture Wrap™ technology that include hyaluronic acids and minerals. You’ll wake up in the morning with soft supple lips!
Will I Buy It Again?: YES, I will. I’m never going back to chapped flakey lips ever again. However, it will be a while because it is a pretty large tub for just for your lips.
Where to buy: Sephora online or instore
Pacifica Body Sunscreen
What I like about it: First of all this is a pretty clean sunscreen. I’ve always felt strange about sunscreens because of the chemicals, before it was cool to think about this and what do you know? Lotions and specifically sunscreens have chemicals that are endocrine disruptors- things that make your hormones go wacky…and now, causing harm to our ecosystems! So I very much like that it doesn’t do any of that stuff. Oh yeah, and it has an awesome bronzing sheen to it, so it gives you a instant faux tan/body makeup! Perfect for my translucent legs..HAHA!
Who is it good for: Anyone who is looking to save their skin from sun damage, wrinkles, sun spots, wrinkles etc.Especially the gal who wouldn’t mind a soft bronzy sheen to their skin.
Price: $15-$16
Product Details: Like I mentioned above, this sunscreen is made without all the bad stuff. It’s full of zinc oxide and coconut probiotics. It’s free of chemical UV absorbers, PABA, octisalate, octinoxate, and oxybenzone. It’s also water resistant for up to 80 minutes which is pretty good! It’s also really easy to blend onto the skin, unlike some sunscreens made out of zinc oxide.
Will I Buy It Again: Yes! This is such an affordable option for body sunscreen with a little sheen.

SUPERGOOP! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40
What I like about it: I like that it’s not a lotion. Most sunscreen lotions tend to make me feel like I get too oily for the face and this contains silica, so it has a bit of a primer feel and absorbs oil. Also, this is clear instead of the standard white lotion sunscreen so it really reminds me of a sunscreen.
Who is it good For: Anyone who is looking for a sunscreen without the heavy lotion feel that some sunscreens for the face can have. It’s good for all skin types.
Price: $32
Product Details: This sunscreen is marked as clean product at Sephora and is made without sulfates, however it is not as clean as the Pacifica sunscreen products. This also helps to protect your skin against UV blue light, which, who freaking knew that was a worry? I didn’t! Because this product is so primer like, you want to apply this last before your foundation.
Will I buy it again: The jury is still out on this one for me. I like it, but I’m not in love with it. I’d like it to be a bit cleaner. Stay tuned to my instastories to find out what I end up deciding on as the summer goes on.
